Cookies and Storage Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

1. Introduction

This policy explains how VLTMS Ltd uses cookies and similar browser storage when you use Subvo. Some storage is essential for the service. Optional analytics and advertising measurement storage is only used with your permission.

2. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored by a website. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB and Cache Storage. They can remember a choice, maintain a product flow, store files needed by a browser feature or provide information about how a website is used.

3. Essential storage

Subvo uses essential browser storage to provide the service you request. This can include:

  • sessionStorage for active jobs, upload and payment recovery, job access and temporary flow state;
  • localStorage for caption, preview and interface preferences;
  • IndexedDB for a temporary local draft of an uploaded video where upload recovery is available;
  • Cache Storage for an AI speech-recognition model used to create caption previews locally in your browser. The model is approximately 77 MB and is currently stored in a cache named transformers-cache so it does not need to be downloaded on every visit; and
  • privacy-choice storage recording the consent version, whether analytics was accepted or rejected, and when the choice was saved.

The privacy choice is essential because it lets Subvo respect your decision on later visits. Essential storage operates whether or not you accept analytics.

The model files may currently be delivered through Hugging Face and its CDN infrastructure. Your browser connects to that provider, which may process ordinary connection information such as your IP address to deliver the files. The model then runs in your browser for local preview processing; Subvo does not send your uploaded video or audio to Hugging Face as part of this model delivery. You can remove the cached model through your browser's controls for clearing Subvo site data.

This essential model delivery and storage is separate from optional analytics and advertising measurement. PostHog and Meta Pixel remain off unless you accept it.

4. Optional analytics and advertising measurement

Subvo uses PostHog analytics to understand how visitors use the website and to improve our website, product workflow and services.

PostHog analytics is only enabled after you accept analytics through our privacy controls. If you do not choose, or if you reject analytics, the Subvo frontend does not initialise PostHog or send analytics events.

When accepted, PostHog uses localStorage to maintain a pseudonymous analytics identifier and related session state. Subvo configures the browser SDK not to use analytics cookies.

Subvo also uses Meta Pixel advertising measurement to record page views and understand how ads perform. Meta Pixel is only loaded after you accept the optional tracking choice. If you do not choose, or reject it, the frontend does not load Meta Pixel or send Meta PageView events.

5. Analytics information

The current Subvo frontend sends:

  • PostHog page views using the page path without query strings or fragments;
  • Meta Pixel PageView events, except on the payment verification and recovery route;
  • aggregate product events for starting or completing an upload, reaching a preview, viewing style or pay, and starting checkout;
  • normalized first-touch and current-session campaign source, medium, campaign and creative values from UTM links;
  • browser, device and technical information added by the PostHog SDK; and
  • pseudonymous visitor, session and funnel identifiers.

We do not send video contents, captions, email addresses, filenames, payment secrets, recovery links, signed URLs or raw job identifiers as analytics event properties. The payment verification and recovery route is excluded from Meta page-view measurement and from PostHog analytics except for the separately reviewed payment-confirmation event.

Campaign information is held only in memory before your choice. It is stored and sent only after you accept analytics. An authoritative purchase event may then be sent by Subvo's backend using the same random funnel identifier, without job, Stripe or recovery identifiers.

Autocapture and session replay are disabled. The frontend also disables surveys, heatmaps, feature flags, web-vitals capture and automatic error tracking for this PostHog integration.

The Meta integration disables automatic configuration and sends no custom events or custom properties. It does not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, video or caption contents, filenames, job or upload identifiers, Stripe identifiers, or recovery values to Meta.

6. Why we use analytics

We use consented analytics to understand whether visitors can move through the public website and core caption workflow, identify broad points of friction and improve Subvo. We use the Meta PageView measurement to understand advertising performance. No purchase, checkout or custom funnel events are sent to Meta by this frontend integration.

7. Accepting, rejecting and withdrawing

You can accept or reject analytics from the privacy banner. Both choices leave essential Subvo functionality available. You can reopen Cookie settings from the footer at any time.

Withdrawing consent stops future PostHog and Meta capture, stops any PostHog recording process if present, resets the PostHog identity, removes PostHog storage created by this frontend and expires the first-party Meta cookies named _fbp and _fbc. It does not delete unrelated Subvo product state.

8. Analytics and advertising providers

PostHog provides the analytics service. The frontend is configured to send consented analytics to PostHog's EU ingestion host. Network and technical information, including an IP address used to make the connection, may be processed by PostHog. Hosting details, retention and any IP-derived location handling depend partly on settings managed in Subvo's PostHog project.

Meta provides the advertising measurement service. After consent, the browser loads Meta's script and sends PageView events. Meta may process the page URL and ordinary network and technical information, including the IP address used to make the connection, under its applicable terms and privacy information.

9. Retention

Essential product storage has different operational expiry periods. Active job state is generally kept only for the current recovery window, and a local draft upload is temporary. Interface preferences and your privacy choice remain until changed, cleared or invalidated by a newer consent version.

PostHog analytics and Meta advertising measurement retention are managed separately in the relevant provider accounts. You can contact us for current information about optional tracking retention.

10. Stripe and external services

Subvo redirects you to Stripe-hosted Checkout for payment. Stripe may use its own cookies or storage on its domain under its own notices. This is separate from Subvo's optional analytics and advertising measurement choice.

11. Policy changes

We may update this policy as the service changes. If a material change affects the optional analytics purpose or collection, Subvo can increase the consent version and ask for a fresh choice.

12. Contact

Questions about storage or analytics can be sent to support@subvo.io.
